Aevitae is an insurance mandated ("gevolgmachtigde") company specialized in health insurances and employee benefits solutions. Aevitae targets companies and institutions (with 5 - 35.000 employees) and offers their employees a tailor-made insurance arrangement. 90% of the insurances sold by Aevitae are branded under the "Aevitae" label.
Aevitae used to be the insurance department of the pension fund administrator / asset manager AZL. AZL sold this department to Agis in 2000. Agis renamed it to Aevitae. Today Aevitae is independent after an MBO out of Agis in two stages (between 2002 and 2004).
Aevitae has a strong position in the insurance intermediary market, has a well-known brand and has very impressive and efficient automated back-office processes. The backbone of the company is a combination of software and hardware systems that allows Aevitae to process claims and accept clients faster than its competitors, also more cost-efficient that insurance companies.
