A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH is the market leader in the river cruise market on the Danube and the Rhône/Saone rivers. In 2009, it expanded its offering to the Rhine. The company employs around 365 employees and operates a state-of-the-art fleet of seven vessels to which it will add a further newbuild Rhine vessel in 2010. In 2008 A-ROSA achieved a turnover of € 45 million.
The river cruise market in Europe offers significant growth potential: Organically due to fundamental growth drivers such as increasing spend on leisure as well as an growing target group of 50+ agers, and also by acquisitions in consolidating the industry as fragmentation is very high.
