Arseus NV is a multinational group providing products and services to healthcare professionals and organizations.
Arseus operates under four divisions:
• Fagron Group is the world market leader in pharmaceutical compounding (i.e. the formulation of custom-made medication).
• Arseus Dental is the second largest distributor of dental products and equipment to dentists and dental labs in Europe.
• Arseus Medical is the Belgian market leader in the distribution of medical and hospital products (e.g. wheelchairs, medical instruments).
• Corilus is the Belgian market leader in the development and sale of software and total sales solution for medical practitioners, including pharmacists, dentists, veterinarians, GPs and nursing homes.
Arseus is the former professional health division of Omega Pharma, the Belgian OTC pharmaceutical company. Arseus was spun-out of Omega Pharma in October 2007 through an IPO on Euronext Brussels & Amsterdam. The group employs around 2.300 people in 19 European countries, the USA, Brazil and Argentina and generated revenues of € 424 million in 2010.
The markets covered by Arseus are expected to show strong growth, mainly driven by the ageing population. Waterland will help Arseus to maintain its leadership position in the selected market segments and to expand through organic growth and a continued active buy-and-build strategy.
Waterland has a 26,16 % interest in Arseus.
